Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team for a solar power plant project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems in solar power plants. This role requires in-depth knowledge of electrical components, grid integration, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems for solar power plants, including power distribution and transmission systems.
• Perform load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies.
• Ensure compliance with national and international electrical standards and regulations.
• Supervise the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, and SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in solar power plants.
• Work closely with project managers, civil engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including electrical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Monitor the performance of solar plant electrical systems and recommend improvements for efficiency and reliability.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
•  Support grid interconnection processes and liaise with utility providers.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma, Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in solar power plant electrical design, installation, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and grid integration.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or PVsyst.
• Familiarity with solar inverters, transformers, and protection systems.
• Understanding of safety regulations and industry standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
• Experience in SCADA systems, communication networks, and remote monitoring.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in renewable energy or solar engineering.
• Experience in energy storage systems and hybrid solar solutions.
• Knowledge of financial and economic aspects of solar projects.
