Electrician – Renewable Energy / Solar Power

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to handle electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting for solar power plants. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of electrical systems and compliance with industry safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Installation: Install, test, and commission electrical components of solar PV systems, including wiring, inverters, and transformers.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair electrical issues in solar power systems.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all electrical work adheres to national and international safety and quality standards.
• System Performance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and optimizing solar plant electrical performance.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with engineers, site supervisors, and other team members to ensure timely project execution.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance activities, test results, and system performance reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in solar PV electrical installations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, OSHA regulations).
• Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving and technical skills.
• Ability to work in outdoor and challenging site conditions.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in solar PV systems installation (e.g., NABCEP, SEI, or equivalent).
• Experience in grid-tied and off-grid solar PV systems.
• Knowledge of battery storage systems and hybrid energy solutions.
